Instead of throwing them in the trash bins, if we can store them for the recycling purpose, it will save a lot of material and energy. The disturbing part of storing the used cans is that it will require a large storing area before recycling. This is where the idea of the project came, which is simply to minimize the storage area by means of the mechanical can crusher which can be placed either in the kitchen or in the restaurant. This can crushing unit will help to reduce the size of the can up to one centimeter so that the same trash bag will carry ten times more cans.
